Symptoms
There are nearly 100 types of cancer found in dogs and other animals. Each type may present somewhat differently. Some signs and symptoms that your dog has cancer MAY be:
- A lump under the skin
- A bump on top of the skin
- Changes in appetite
- Changes in potty habits
- Lameness
- Tenderness to the touch
- Coughing
- Weight loss
- Increased thirst
- Wounds that don’t heal
- Skin discoloration
- Abnormal odors
- Digestive upset
- Shortness of breath
- Lack of energy
In short, anything at all that is unusual for your dog should be thoroughly checked by your vet!
